What’s the Scurry

The Scurry pits 4-person teams against each other in a race across the greater Cincinnati area. We'll have tests of speed, teamwork, problem-solving, trivia, geographical knowledge and embarrassment threshold. If this all reminds you of a certain superlative TV race, then you're on the right track.

And we're doing it for a good cause. Learning Is Cool is a program that encourages kids to make the most of their education, and it's already making a difference (check out the cause page to read more about it).

It all happens on Friday, April 20, 2012. The race goes through the afternoon, and ends with a big party—aka The AfterScurry—at the finish line. We'll have live music, food and plenty of malted beverages. And you're invited!

Why You Should Scurry

TiER1

Fueling Performance with Knowledge
TiER1

TiER1 Performance Solutions is a Covington, Kentucky based company that helps organizations improve their performance through better communication and education. We’ve had several Amazing Ra-..err..scurries internally over the past few years to get to know each other better and have some fun. And we thought it would be a great way to try to raise some money and awareness for a local charity. Many of us are educators at heart, so the Learning Is Cool program was a natural fit. Not to mention the fact that we were hoping to meet some Bengals.

MLCF

Marvin Lewis Community Fund

We all know Coach Lewis through his day job, but he’s also a tireless community activist and youth advocate. Marvin and Peggy Lewis founded the Marvin Lewis Community Fund in 2003 to serve and protect the needs of Cincinnati-area children. In the past six years, the MLCF has started and grown a number of super-cool programs, from Learning Is Cool (which you know about by now) to football camps to scholarship funds to breast cancer awareness campaigns.
